The homeowners were looking to improve a full bathroom in the South Hills on a reasonable budget. They had dated tile, poor storage, and their family did not utilize the tub on this floor. The Schroeffels were looking for an upgrade and an improved shower.

Our Plan

We met with Jeff and Kara to talk about the needs of their bathroom and the budget for the project. Our team worked with them to plan a major upgrade that would improve their daily life and do so on a reasonable budget. To achieve a high-end look, but also to keep the costs down a bit, the homeowners chose ceramic tile for their shower walls and a prefabricated shower pan. This saved them on tile and labor costs and looks great in the end.

They asked us to prioritize storage and improve electrical as part of the renovation. We upgraded their bathroom from one outlet to two and installed recessed lighting, a proper exhaust fan, and closet lighting. We also expanded their closet shelving and extended the new floors into that area.

The Work

We accomplished this complete demolition and renovation in just over two weeks, with two men on the job each day. The beautiful barn door-style shower door we helped the homeowners select really pulled this job together. It required some custom installation but was well worth it in the end. As part of the project, we upgraded their plumbing and plumbing access panel since both required improvements to go with the new look.
